I am free because I know that I alone am morally responsible for everything I do.
#COPY PASTE IMAGE INTO EXCEL CELL CODE#
Short of adding some VBA code (a macro) to the sheet, I'm not sure how you'd get this done the way you want. Turn right around and actually type 3.25 into the cell and you get the alert, showing that the data validation rule is still working for that cell. That is the choice to only paste the displayed value of the copied cell, not anything else.ģ.25 shows up in the cell and you DO NOT get an alert as you would expect to (and as you should in my opinion).

Choose the cell with data validation and RIGHT-Click the cell and choose the "123" option under Paste Special.

Now put 3.25 into another cell and copy that cell. Enter a decimal value like 3.25 into the cell and it tells you there's a problem.

It won't remove the validation, BUT it doesn't work properly even then! :(Įxample: take a cell and validate it to accept only whole numbers from 1 through 100. Try just pasting the value into the data validated cell.
